Will Nigerian schools reopen any time soon?

According to school academic calendar in Nigeria, up to  99% of universities, polytechnics and college of education are in second semester now with the final years being frustrated due to the situation especially those who weren't assigned their various project topics before the closure of schools began.

On the other hand, the Weac candidates are suppose to be preparing for their next exams.

Universities, ploytechnics and colleges are suppose to be preparing on how to organize their forthcoming post Utme exams.

Even as the lockdown has been eased in some parts of Nigeria, enabling workers to be able to resume their businesses full-time while still maintaining social distancing, some Nigerians are still worried About when schools are going to be reopened fully hereby creating rumors saying that schools will resume on 20th November, while some are also saying that schools will resume on 25 of May 2020, some are still deliberating on the motion that schools will resume on 1st of June following the extension of stay-at-home by two weeks.

All these news could be rumors as the exact day of School resumption has not been broadcasted yet.


However, Buhari’s spokesperson, Femi Adesina while featuring on TVC, said schools may re-open for those about to take exams though the exact date wasn't stated.

Adesina said candidates about to take West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and other examinations may be allowed to go back to school soon.
