Fang Fang, is a 65 year old writer from Wuhan, China who documented her experience living in Wuhan during the Corona virus outbreak.
The Virus started first in Wuhan where it was believed to be a local crisis. The city entered a complete lockdown that was then unheard of but is now has become widespread.
Fang Fang's book has been translated into English and other languages and she has received international recognition. But the Chinese are angered by her book calling her a "traitor"
In her diary entries,she wrote about the psychological effects of the isolation and daily life in Wuhan during the isolation. But why did her own Nation turn on her? It is because Cyber nationalism is so common in China. The citizens cannot stand criticism of any sort against their country over the media.
