Man apprehended for sealing wife's genitals with super glue

A man, James Kifo Miriuki from Tharaka-Nithi who went into hiding after allegedly assaulting his wife and sealing her private parts with superglue, accusing her of infidelity, has been arrested.

In a statement on Thursday morning, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that James Kifo Muriuki, 30, was arrested from his hideout in Kaningo, Kitui County.

The DIC repoted on twitter that "She (the wife) was beaten by the suspect who also sprayed pepper, salt and super glue on her genitals and later used a knife to push the said contents to her lady parts. Furthermore, it was reported that he sealed her mouth and left her for dead,” 

Muriuki was said to have lured his wife in the dead of the night to River Kathita, ordered her to strip naked and tell him all the men she had slept with while he was in Nairobi. It was at this point that he committed such act when she didn't give any useful information.

According to reports, Muriuki's three year old son was in the premises during the act and it was his cries that alerted the neighbours which then prompted his run away from the scene before the arrival of the police.

The man is now expected to be charged in court.

“The suspect will be charged accordingly once necessary police procedure is complete,” DCI said in a statement following the arrest of Mr Muriuki.
