Seye Oduyale gets Medical Degree In U.S. After Applying Eight Times

A Nigerian man who schooled in the United States is currently in a happy mood as he recently got a medical degree and is being celebrated.

The achievement is quite special because he applied a total number of eight times to get into school.

Odayale thanked his mom for believing in him and being his motivator and is looking forward to the next great chapter in his life.

Sharing the good news with photos of himself in a graduation gown, he wrote;
"Send one to Johns Hopkins,” she said. “You never know what God is capable of.” 8 med school apps, 1 acceptance, and $300k later, I get to celebrate the sacrifices of many who have walked with me to this point. This one’s for you, Mum.. Doctor of Medicine, Johns Hopkins SOM. “Can’t wait to start another chapter of my career at @WashUSurgery under @PaulEdWise

Breaking! Nigerian troops rescue 241 women and children from Boko Haram captivity (photos)

Troops attached to Sector 1 of Operation LAFIYA DOLE have rescued 241 kidnapped victims from Boko Haram captivity in Mudu village in Borno state. A statement released by the Defence headquarters today May 28, says the kidnapped victims were rescued during an operation on May 23. The rescued victims comprises of 105 women and 136 children. The statement adds that Twelve (12) Boko Haram terrorists were killed during the operation. In a related development, troops of 151 Battalion on May 24 killed three more sect members during a crossfire in Firgi area in the state.  In the same vein, troops of the 155 Battalion Banki Junction carried out exploitation operation towards Sambisa forest in pursuit of fleeing BHTs. The dogged efforts of the troops yielded uncommon success as two (2) terrorists dead bodies, heavy cache of assorted arms, ammunition and other equipment were recovered. BREAKING: Lagos discharges seven coronavirus patients Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos providing update on coronavirus The Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of seven coronavirus patients in the state after they tested negative twice to the virus. This takes the total number of persons discharged to 51 in Nigeria.
