Man on the run after allegedly stabbing wife

A young man identified as Toheeb Badmus, popularly knows as Tomori fled after repeatedly stabbing his wife, Tosin at Jankara-ijaiye in Alagbado area of Lagos state on Tuesday, 19th May because she accepted money which was meant to be a gift from some men in the prospect of welcoming her new child.

The sister of Tosin narrated the incident saying that Tosin came home at night on the 16th of May and informed her husband that two of her male friends gave her some money for the baby for not being able to attend the naming ceremony. Toheeb then accused her of taking money from ritualist.

They had a long argument and the wife didn't come home the following day because she and her husband were still not on talking terms. On the third day of their beef, which was the day of the incident, the husband stabbed her on the breast, stomach and hand with a ceramic plate when she came back home.

She was taken to the hospital and had her injured parts stiched up. With the help of some neighbours, they were able to save the life if Tosin by contributing blood. At this point, Toheeb had already fled the premises with their first child.
