Sad news! Man reportedly died Of Electrocution in Abia State


Tragedy strucked an area in Abia State as a middle-aged man identified as Chukwudi was electrocuted to death. This happened on the Opobo road, Aba 's commercial nerve centre, state of Abia, creating confusion for residents.

According to a report, it all started when Chukwudi discovered a loss of electricity supply in his apartment located in a public compound, a situation that prompted him to search for the solution to the electricity problem.

It was reported that the man used a ladder in search of the fault to climb the electricity pole even though he does not have any knowledge or any link with how to repair an Electricity fault. However, it was revelaed that a powered electrical cable rested on a barbwire near the pole he allegedly was climbing. He was reportedly trapped between the pole and the electrified barbwire, making it hard for him to escape. After being rushed to a nearby hospital, the man was confirmed dead.

Breaking! Nigerian troops rescue 241 women and children from Boko Haram captivity (photos)

Troops attached to Sector 1 of Operation LAFIYA DOLE have rescued 241 kidnapped victims from Boko Haram captivity in Mudu village in Borno state. A statement released by the Defence headquarters today May 28, says the kidnapped victims were rescued during an operation on May 23. The rescued victims comprises of 105 women and 136 children. The statement adds that Twelve (12) Boko Haram terrorists were killed during the operation. In a related development, troops of 151 Battalion on May 24 killed three more sect members during a crossfire in Firgi area in the state.  In the same vein, troops of the 155 Battalion Banki Junction carried out exploitation operation towards Sambisa forest in pursuit of fleeing BHTs.
