*#Getting Federal Housing Estate, Nnewi activated 36years after, is in line with my deliberate efforts to energize our Economy.**By Chris Emeka Azubogu*



*In order to create an organized settlement within our cluster, I pushed for reactivation of the Federal Housing Project, Nnewi, situated at almost the Nnewi/Ukpor boundary. This project was conceived and abandoned in 1983 during the Shehu Shagari-led Second Republic.*

Today, we are almost done with provisions of infrastructural facilities like construction of roads, provision of water and connecting the estate with power supply for the about 300 units of buildings.

*Our focus is Integrated Development that intend to create modern infrastructure for economic growth and human Capital development.*

We have not done everything, but we are striving to do more.

Breaking! Nigerian troops rescue 241 women and children from Boko Haram captivity (photos)

Troops attached to Sector 1 of Operation LAFIYA DOLE have rescued 241 kidnapped victims from Boko Haram captivity in Mudu village in Borno state. A statement released by the Defence headquarters today May 28, says the kidnapped victims were rescued during an operation on May 23. The rescued victims comprises of 105 women and 136 children. The statement adds that Twelve (12) Boko Haram terrorists were killed during the operation. In a related development, troops of 151 Battalion on May 24 killed three more sect members during a crossfire in Firgi area in the state.  In the same vein, troops of the 155 Battalion Banki Junction carried out exploitation operation towards Sambisa forest in pursuit of fleeing BHTs. The dogged efforts of the troops yielded uncommon success as two (2) terrorists dead bodies, heavy cache of assorted arms, ammunition and other equipment were recovered. BREAKING: Lagos discharges seven coronavirus patients Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos providing update on coronavirus The Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of seven coronavirus patients in the state after they tested negative twice to the virus. This takes the total number of persons discharged to 51 in Nigeria.
