Senator Andy Uba Gets The Go Ahead - Receives Certificate of Clearance Ahead of party guber primaries

Distinguished Senator Andy Uba has again moved an inch closer to clinching the ticket as the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 18 governorship polls.

He achieved this after receiving his certificate of clearance with other 12 APC contestant signifying his eligibility to contest in Saturday's primary election of the APC.

Uba who remains resilient even after detractors rumoured his false disqualification and brandished a fake O-level certificate as an expression of their jittery against the man who is committed to walking the whole mile.

The event of this afternoon has further confirmed that the two-term Senator will contest in Saturday's conquest, even as he continues to urge his supporters to eschew from throwing tantrums and engaging in unnecessary offensives with those who are yet to understand the rubrics of democracy.

Breaking! Nigerian troops rescue 241 women and children from Boko Haram captivity (photos)

Troops attached to Sector 1 of Operation LAFIYA DOLE have rescued 241 kidnapped victims from Boko Haram captivity in Mudu village in Borno state. A statement released by the Defence headquarters today May 28, says the kidnapped victims were rescued during an operation on May 23. The rescued victims comprises of 105 women and 136 children. The statement adds that Twelve (12) Boko Haram terrorists were killed during the operation. In a related development, troops of 151 Battalion on May 24 killed three more sect members during a crossfire in Firgi area in the state.  In the same vein, troops of the 155 Battalion Banki Junction carried out exploitation operation towards Sambisa forest in pursuit of fleeing BHTs. The dogged efforts of the troops yielded uncommon success as two (2) terrorists dead bodies, heavy cache of assorted arms, ammunition and other equipment were recovered. BREAKING: Lagos discharges seven coronavirus patients Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos providing update on coronavirus The Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of seven coronavirus patients in the state after they tested negative twice to the virus. This takes the total number of persons discharged to 51 in Nigeria.
